Hi, I'm Linus
I'm a software engineer and a Linux enthusiast. I
love to code, and I'm passionate about
open source software. I'm currently working on a few
projects but I'm always looking for new opportunities to
learn and grow.
Feel free to check out my
projects or
get in touch if you'd
like to collaborate.
These are a few screenshot of my system (I use Arch btw).
Although I have been using Linux for pretty much my whole life I only got in touch with Arch in early 2024, sure enough my prior experience with Linux might have helped me but it was still a whole new world.
The first screenshot was taken approximately 8 months ago in early February of 2024, the last two in mid December of 2024.
Arch Linux
/ɑːrtʃ/, noun
Arch Linux is an open source, rolling release Linux ditribution know for it's high customizability. The goal of the project is to provide a minimal but solid foundation to build your setup upon. Due to its nature as a minimal base and the DIY approach its aimed primarly at more experienced Linux users which leads to an elitist group of people think they are superior.
"BTW I use Arch"
from cult to meme
Arch Linux was seen as unstable and difficult to use for a long time but with time it improved and people started using it for their personal computers.
To direct attention to Arch Linux people on the internet proudly stated that they infact use Arch btw this phrase later became a meme to make fun of people who feel superior (although they are ofc) for using a difficult system.
RTFM
stop asking stupid questions
RTFM is an acronym for Read The Fucking Manual and is used to tell people to read the documentation before asking questions. It is often used in the Linux community to tell "noobs" (newbies/newcomers) to read the documentation before asking questions instead of just explaining it to them.
